I have been working on creating the perfect George Foreman Grill rib eye. I have had some problems with thicker cuts not seeming to cook well. Below is my pattern that seems to have a 100% success rate.
You will need…
A USDA Prime Rib Eye (1.5 inches thick).
A Skillet.
A George Foreman Grill.
Step 1.
Set your skillet temperature to max and let it heat up for several minutes. After the skillet is hot, add olive oil and distribute evenly. Once the pan is hot and olive oil is added, turn on your George foreman and let it start preheating.
Step 2.
Place your steak flat in the pan let it sit for 10 seconds, then flip it for another 10 seconds. Then hold the rib eye so that it is standing straight up and sear the sides for about 30 seconds each.
Step 3.
Place your rib eye flat again and begin adding salt, pepper, and your favorite steak rub. Flip your steak and repeat.
Step 4.
If you timed it correctly, your GF Grill light should now be turned off indicating it is ready to go. Simply place your steak inside and wait five minutes.
Step 5..
Remove and enjoy a evenly cooked medium rare rib eye.
